Specializing in the evaluation of the risk and potential of hydrocarbon prospects and plays, Woodie Huffman has over 35 years of experience as an exploration geophysicist applying all industry tools, information and data to generate, evaluate and risk hydrocarbon drillable prospects with economical commercial reserves. He has generated, ranked and participated in structural and stratigraphic prospects resulting in field discoveries in clastic and carbonate plays. He is an accomplished seismic interpreter utilizing 2D/3D time and depth, pre and post stack with the integration of geologic and engineering input using 2D/3D modeling, seismic attribute analysis, and AVO. Woodie is an expert in TKS/SMT Kingdom packages and experienced with many other platforms and programs. Woodie possesses skills in the design and evaluation of acquisition and processing of 2D and 3D data and has successfully utilized and applied gravity and magnetics in prospect generation. His knowledge includes the application of sequence stratigraphy, salt tectonics and clastic/carbonate depositional systems. Woodie has experience evaluating prospects in basins from Algeria to California with major emphasis in the Gulf Coast on/offshore, and East Texas.
